Is it bad to brush your hair when its wet?

My hair is really curly, and i always brush my hair in the shower, right as im putting my conditioner in, becouse when i brush my hair when its dry, it gets really frizzy and looks worse than it was before i washed it. So I brush my hair in the shower, and then put it in a low pony tail (not one in the center of my head), and then i go to bed, and wake up in the morning the next day, and just take the pony tail out and it looks like it was brushed. (note that i dont brush my hair after its dry), but my mom said that brushing my hair while its wet is bad for your hair. If i keep brushing my hair while its wet, what will happen? will i lose all my hair? will it not grow back? does it do something to my sculp? And what can i do with my hair to make it look nice, without it getting frizzy, yet easy to brush?

I have curly hair too, and I was told that once out of the shower you should comb through your hair, not brush it!

Just take a wide toothed comb and work from the bottom up getting out all the tangles (gently), then just let it air dry.

It's also helpful if you dont rub your head with the towel when you get out because that causes frizz.

yes. your hair is natrually elastic. when it is wet, it is more prone to breaking because it stretches even easier.

i have one and its like the really good kind and it makes my hair feel so healthly and its wayyyy easier to brush after uve blow dried it! and when its wet your hear breaks and the brush pulls it out!!!! im tellin ya blow dryer K!!

you should let it air dry, then brush your hair.

it brushes so much eaiser, it stead of yanking your hair out of your head, and also loosing hair, and using too much of that detaingler stuff is bad for your hair. it makes you loose hair faster, which sometimes makes you go bald.
