If i got a straight perm, is there a way to make sure my hair doesnt lose all its volume?

I heard when you get a straight perm they put a chemical and then afterwards they straighten it, so is it possible they just dont straighten it perfectly so as to lose all the volume????

Straight perms are all or nothing. You could use products afterward to try to make up for it, but if you really want to keep your volume, a straight perm isn't for you.

Instead, use a straightening iron. It's not as damaging as the straight perm even if done daily and it will give you the option to just straighten the ends of your hair. If you leave the part by the root of your hair alone, you can keep your natural body.

you can use a shampoo that gives volume to your hair.

i think you can buy products for straightened hair afterwards, products that girls with straight hair use to get body and volume. "big sexy hair" thats a good shampoo for volume

the only way it'll be possible for you to keep your volume if you get a straightening perm is to get a very layered haircut and use volumizing products. a little backcoming probably wouldnt hurt either.
