I have been to 3 different doctors. Each does blood work with everything coming back normal. I have had my thyroid tested and it is still in the normal range. The last doctor I went to told me that even though it is in normal range you could still have a problem. Said mine was at the low end of normal so he put me on 60mg of Armour. I felt great for about 2 weeks but all of my symptoms are back. I can not lose weight for anything. I am extremely strict with what I eat and excerise hard core 4 times a week. On top of that I am swelling and I am even on a diuretic for my bloodpressure. My hair is breaking off really badly and my eyelashes are breaking off in huge chunks. I have no sex drive either. I am so beside myself because I feel horrible. I have 2 young boys to take care of so I have to keep going. Any insight as to what else it might be would be great!
Can not lose weight. Swollen hands, feet and face. Hair falling out. Increased fatigue. HELP!?
It sounds exactly like hypothyroid! My mom went through a few different medicines before she found the right one, I say keep trying until you find the one that works for you.

I think the medicine is causing your edema(swelling). Ask for something else with less side effects.

Are you on any birth control pills, hormone treatments, etc? If so, that could be a potential cause.
Something else you could look into is an autoimmune disorder. They can do a simple blood test to see if you have any autoimmune disorders (ie: lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, MS, etc). They can test your ANA (anti-nucleotide antibodies) as well as other factors.
Other than that, you may consider trying to see a specialist such as an internal medicine doctor. Internists are the ones that figure out mysterious illnesses like that (kinda like House on t.v.).
But still keep a check on that thyroid.
Best of luck.

That sounds awful!
I have no idea what that could be but maybe you should try some alternative form of medicine. Try acupuncture maybe?

Still sounds like hypothyroidism (low thyroid). Make sure your doctor checks your free T4, free T3, and the TSH. If you are swelling, you have have an excess of natural steroids (Cushing syndrome). If this is the case, then you need treatment.
Do not let your doctor ignore these symptoms. Also, check a pregnancy test.
Swelling for more than a few days is never normal. Keep pressing on.
Best of luck.

As mentioned above, the symptoms point to hypothyroidism. But it should have been controlled with thyroxine tablets.
Other diagnosis would be Cushings syndrome, water retention due to liver/heart/kidney problems or drugs. Get your serum cortisol levels estimated and get a workup for liver/kidney/heart problems.
Consult your doctor again. It is hazardous to venture a diagnosis based purely on symptoms.

Go to OBGYN It could have to do with your ovaries
