My natural hair color is like a sandy blonde, or sometimes reffered to as "dishwater blonde". Currently my hair has a orange tone to it and I want to go a darker, maybe a medium brown. No matter what color I go, whether brown or blonde, it always turns red. I've even paid professionals who supposedly new what they were doing to color it for me, but it still ended up red. What can I put on my hair to lose this red tone?
No matter what color I dye my dark ash-blonde hair it always turns a reddish tone. How can I fix this?
Try using a product that has ash in it, it might even out some of the red. I have the same problem no matter what color I put in it there is always a red tint. You will probably have to go a little darker than you wanted to.

Mine does the same thing, I always get reddish tones. I've found that if you get a neutral color (you'd have to get it in a store like Sally's Beauty Supply , the premixed kinds dont come like this) which in the store swatches literally look like kind of muddy grayish-browns (not very pretty) they will actually come out to the color you want and eliminate or tone down the red.
